New Lebanon Law Director rambles on for over 30 minutes, first issuing an Apology for his behavior at the last council meeting towards the Editor of this newspaper, which I accepted. ( at 1:1:07 into Video).
Director McNamee goes on and gives a long, drawn-out, and at times rambling explanation of his interpretation of the Ohio Sunshine Law.
The longer he talked, the clearer it became that he had exceeded his authority and was picking winners and losers, putting his thumb on the scales of Justice to protect certain council members at the expense of others. The confession: Shocking!
In his rambling, McNamee essentially admitted to using the REDACTION of Public Records Request to hide “Exculpatory evidence” to protect certain council members. McNamee has clearly picked sides in this fight between council members and lost direction of his function as Law Director!
In the opinion of this newspaper, a new and impartial law director needs to be hired.
